FeCL3 Ferric Chloride Anhydrous 50 KG / BAG 7705-08-0 CAS Used for Metal Etching
Ferric chloride is a covalent inorganic compound with the chemical formula FeCl3. It is a covalent compound. It is a black-brown crystal, or a thin flake, with a melting point of 306°C and a boiling point of 316°C. It is easily soluble in water and has strong water absorption. It can absorb moisture in the air and deliquesce. When FeCl3 is precipitated from an aqueous solution, it carries six crystal waters, namely FeCl3·6H2O. Ferric chloride hexahydrate is an orange-yellow crystal. Ferric chloride is a very important iron salt.

Ferric chloride anhydrous is mainly used for metal etching and sewage treatment. The etching includes etching of copper, stainless steel, aluminum and other materials.
FeCI3 has the advantages of good effect and low price for the treatment of low oil content raw water, but it brings the disadvantage of yellowing water color.
FeCI3 is also used for printing and dyeing roller engraving, electronic industry circuit boards and fluorescent digital tube production, etc.
1. Ferric Chloride Anhydrous is used in the construction industry to prepare concrete to enhance the strength, corrosion resistance, and waterproofness of concrete. It can also be prepared with ferrous chloride, calcium chloride, aluminum chloride, aluminum sulfate, hydrochloric acid, etc. to make a concrete waterproofing agent.
2. FeCI3 is used in the inorganic industry to make other iron salts and inks. It is used as an oxidant for indicating dye dyeing in the dye industry.
3. Ferric Chloride Anhydrous is used as a mordant in the printing and dyeing industry.
4. Ferric Chloride Anhydrous is used as a chlorination extractor for extracting gold and silver in the metallurgical industry.
5. Ferric Chloride Anhydrous is used as a catalyst, oxidant and chlorinating agent in the organic industry.
6. FeCl3 is used as a hot colorant for glassware in the glass industry.
7. FeCl3 is used as a coagulant for recovering glycerol from soap waste liquid in the soap making industry.
8. Another important use of ferric chloride is hardware etching, etching products such as eyeglass frames, clocks, electronic components, signs and nameplates.
