Product Introduction
Hexamine
Hexamine (C6H12N4) is a white crystalline heterocyclic compound, soluble in water, ethanol, and chloroform but not in ether. Synthesized via formaldehyde-ammonia condensation, Hexamine forms a stable cyclic structure.
Industrially, C6H12N4 acts as a rubber curing agent, plastic blowing agent, and cross-linking agent for phenolic resins. Pharmacologically, it treats urinary tract infections by releasing formaldehyde in acidic urine.
Safety: Irritates skin, eyes, and respiratory tract; requires protective gear. Flammable, stored away from heat and oxidizers.
Paraformaldehyde
Paraformaldehyde (C2H6O2) is a white, odorless powder/polymer of formaldehyde, insoluble in most solvents but depolymerizes to formaldehyde with heat/acids.
Paraformaldehyde serves as a stable source of formaldehyde in chemical synthesis (for resins, pharmaceuticals, and adhesives). Agriculturally, it fumigates soil and storage facilities to control pests.
Safety: Irritates the respiratory system, skin, and eyes; needs ventilation and protective equipment. Stored cool/dry, away from acids, bases, and oxidizers.

Product Application
Hexamine Applications
1. Rubber Industry: Acts as a vulcanization accelerator and curing agent, promoting cross-linking of rubber molecules to enhance elasticity, heat resistance, and mechanical strength of rubber products like tires and seals.
2. Plastics Manufacturing: Serves as a blowing agent in foam plastics production, releasing gas during processing to form uniform pores, reducing material density while maintaining structural stability.
3. Phenolic Resin Production: Functions as a cross-linking agent, reacting with phenol derivatives to form thermosetting phenolic resins used in electrical insulation materials and high-temperature coatings.
Paraformaldehyde Applications
1. Chemical Synthesis: Provides a stable formaldehyde source in organic synthesis, used in producing pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and dyes by releasing formaldehyde under controlled conditions (heat or acid).
2. Adhesive Industry: Improves bonding performance in wood adhesives and composite material binders, enhancing water resistance and durability of adhesive products.
3. Agricultural Fumigation: Acts as a disinfectant and fumigant to eliminate pests, fungi, and bacteria in soil, grain storage, and greenhouses, ensuring crop health and storage safety.
